After having watched many home renovations shows over the years, my spouse and I entered our renovation project with a healthy amount of concern. Contractor delays, sub-contractor sub-par work, short-cuts and so on were troubling as we headed into the process, given that they were so pervasive. Ian has a ton of energy and a clear passion for his work. None of the above potential nightmares emerged for us as homeowners. Ian was always 'present' during our renovation project -- no gaps in work or communication took place. He has aligned his company with sub-contractors of the highest order. In particular his painting contractor, 'Alex', was extremely detail-orientated which was a tremendous relief, given that he played a huge role in our renovation. In any renovation project, problems will happen. That is neither here nor there, but rather, the response to problems is key.
